Italy

It has been an enjoyable 6 days in Italy. The flight to Milan was ok. Although the weather was wet when we arrived, we braved through the rain during our walking city tours.... Must say our trusty down jackets have been serving us well. Oh yes! My new boots were not too bad. Can't complain for $20+!

We did not bring umbrella- so our jackets were wet in the rain. Must say it's not fun at all to walk in the rain! Luckily most hotels have heated racks and the timberland water protective spray was useful.

First day in Milan was ok- rainy but we had some time to shop. Managed to get hs miu miu bag and some nespresso for ourselves!

2nd day was in Venice. Wet day again with Venice semi flooded. We had to walk on planks on some parts cos the water level was knee deep. People wear rainboots there! We took a gondola!

We proceeded to Florence, had our city tour. That night dinner was the famous florentine steak which i heard comments that well, jacks place seems better! I had my chicken and it was tasty! The following day, We visited Pisa in the morning followed by san gimignano - a lovely little town where we managed to eat our pasta lunch on our own!! Tomato cream gnocchi and Pocinni fettucinne.

Then we visited a chianti vineyard and bought their olive oil! Only 6 bottles for a tour of 37 of us! Gee! Luckily we were at the counter and we grabbed two bottles!

The next day was factory outlet shopping where we visited the mall- was disappointed as there was no prada miu miu Chanel. Only gucci and other brands. Gucci was reasonably cheap so I bought a wallet and key holder pouch. Nothing else to buy otherwise! Next we went to Assisi. A lovely town on top of a hill where the tour of the basilica was excellent! Guess the sunny weather helped too although the winds was strong and it was cold! Dinner was good buffet at our hotel! Hotel has free wi fi too!

28 dec am- we are traveling to Naples, Pompeii. 4.5 hrs of road traveling. Well, luckily the weather got better. At least now we see the sun!! Scenic journey!
