Was just checking my handphone photos and realised i have not been updating on the stuff that i found interesting.... I usually will take pictures of little things that i felt interesting.... So here they are....
Food along Clarke Quay - It was Sat noon. I've just met up with pk and von for G2K shopping. Dar picked me up and he suggested going to this place for lunch. (Sorry, i can't remember the name of the cafe! Was it Glutton? hmm...) Anyway, we ordered this cheese chicken chop and their famous laksa... not too bad.... just wondering how they survive on weekends! There are no other customers ard. hope their weekday working crowd help to keep their business going!
The food were okay! Not like fantastic, the chicken was tasty but a tad oily. The laksa, well, just say a little too spicy for me... haha!
Attended a friend's wedding at Oriental, it was a superb dinner - the food was good with my fav fried mantou with chilli crab sauce!! And did i mention their wedding favours? It was so innovative! A heart shaped paper weight and measuring spoons! Oh i love them!! So useful somemore!! haha!
That day went to jade palace lunch to celebrate Dar's San Yi's birthday. found their way of presenting xiao long bao interesting!!
Last Sat went to eat at Parkway with Dar. Parkway has changed with more restaurants and shops at the extension block! But there is no more BK!!! So sad.... We ate New York New York.... and as we were leaving, we saw this lady carrying two minature carl's junior burgers! I went histerical! i wanted them but i think they only came with meals! and we were full. :( And guess what, the following monday when i went back to work, my colleague gave me a stress ball - subway sandwich! haha! It was so cute!!
Just Wednesday night, we went to try this cafe opened by the same owner of Awfully Chocolate - EVERYTHING WITH FRIES.... it was located in this secluded corner near Aston Katong. The deco was simple, white tables and chairs, very minimalistic. We ordered their famous One Egg Soup (soup is made up of egg yolk and the egg white is then fried to perfection on top of the soup) - it was not bad except that i find the egg white a bit oily so it gets a little too much - but luckily, i was sharing it with Dar, if u have asked me to eat one by myself, i don't think i will be able to do it. :) Dar ordered the lamb burger which is supposed to be v good. It was good i mean tasty. I have ordered a tandoori chicken sandwich but I found the meat too salty and feedback to them, they offered to change to ham and cheese sandwich for me. All their main courses come with fries and u can choose the "flavour". we chose their popular curry and garlic and herbs! The fries were good and the servings were generous.
Going down for tour briefing later in the day! yeah! Hopefully everything goes well.... hehe..
